My understanding is that the Translogic is plug and play with the flexibility to adjust trigger force and interupt dwell at specific revs if you are inclined or good enough to tell the difference so IMO the answer to your question, I would not have thought so in the early days until you are used to the operation and start chasing 1/10s. The Translogic web site says that each unit is model specific with nothing more required so I still think you are good to go out of the box until you start chasing 1/10s and 1/100s. Andy
