R.i.p. Patrick Macnee

  1. Patrick MacNee, a.k.a. John Steed of The Avengers, has died, aged 93.

    He was a part of the landscape of my growing-up years and has the distinction of being the only famous actor to ever have nearly run me over in his car.

    Sad to see him go.

  4. I used to love the Avengers when I was a kid. To me Emma Peel was "lovely". I didn't know what horny was at that age.

  8. Couldn't stand Honor Blackman, but Diana Rigg........Phew!

    Linda Thorson wasn't bad either...............not that impressed by Joanna Lumley.

    Lucky old Patrick working with all of them though.........
