I need a new one so first place i looked is ebay. There are new ones on there for £29.99, going up to around £100. Has anyone bought one before, if so where from and how much? Is the Shindengen not recognized as the best quality one although I'm not sure of models on the different bikes. Check out the 748 Alt/Charge thread. I haven't had to do this yet but if I was I think I'd be taking a look at replacing with the best quality possible. Though not admittedly cheap. These R/Rs take a hammering with being sited near the engine and having to sink a lot of current, they have a very hard life Just a (probably unwanted) opinion John

I have those clutch plates in my 999, no problem with them at all. They're made by Newfren. Rumour is they're the same firm that supplies Ducati.
