Hi Multi-Peeps, I've had my MTS Touring for about 18 months or so now and it only came with one key fob for the Ducati fitted alarm/immobiliser. I was sent a new one by the guys I bought the bike from and last time the bike went into Riders in Bristol, I asked them to have a go at 'matching' the new fob with the alarm, BUT they failed!! So, with so much expertise out here on this site, I wondered if anyone could make any sensible suggestions as to where or how I could get this sorted, because if my one and only fob fails, then its 'back to basics' and undoubtedly a new alarm/immobiliser init? :frown:
I have the instructions somewhere on how to store a new remote control. IIRC you'll need to know your secret override code for the bike's alarm. Do you know this?
If it's based around the Meta alarm then these might help http://abacuscaralarms.co.uk/manuals/Meta_M357T_Adding_remote_controls.pdf
Wrecked, Sorry, but no I don't and this might have been why the Riders guys couldn't rectify the problem!! Is there any way I can determine what this might be that you know of?
Interesting... I had the same experience today ! I ordered a new alarm fob for the factory alarm on my 2011 Multistrada from Metropolis Vauxhall, where I bought the bike... The fob arrived from Italy and I went to pick it up today and get it programmed - They couldn't do it! - even with the instructions that came with the fob... They don't know the "secret code" (pre-owned bike...) and even if they did they don't know under which menu to enter it ?! Any clues out there please ? or is it a call to Italy...
