Getting a liitle frustrated with bits falling or breaking off my bike. I absolutely love my streetfighter, and have done 4500 miles on it since End of March. So far, I have lost an exhaust spring, a washer of the exhaust heat shield and this morning, I was all ready to go to the open Day at Riders in Cardiff, had quick look at back tyre as it is nearly due for its third and was quite dumbfounded to notice that three of the four mounting points on my rear hugger had snapped off, there is not a mark on it, the tyre hasn't touched it and the bolts were all still locktighted in. Also noticed the heatshield is rattling about again, although all the bolts are tight and the washers appear to be intact. Be having a word at Riders on Monday and hopefully they will replace it, otherwise I aint going to be particularly happy. My old 916 and 748 appeared to stay together better than this
Sounds odd and of course not great news. Have you taken it back to your dealer and told them of your issues. I've not seen this before on any of my Ducatis.
Took the hugger into the dealer today and they are going to replace it for me. They are also going to check the bike over as there is a mark on the top of the hugger which looks like it may have bottomed out, I don't think there's anything wrong with it, it rides fine.
