Rear Shock 305mm

  1. I'm looking for a decent quality rear shock to fit a 2004 M1000ie.
That's a post hoop suspension conventional swingarm jobbie at 305mm between eye centres.
    Although I believe a whole host of 2000s Ducati's use a 305mm rear shock.

Aftermarket Ohlins, Hyperpro, Nitron etc, or perhaps a Ducati Showa in good condition.

I don't really want to spend 25% of what the bike has cost me on a new one, so am looking for a good used one.

    Thanks

  2. I've realised my options are very limited as there is no room for a shock with a piggyback reservoir.

A remote reservoir might work, but even that could be tight.

  3. I've got a. Onlins or OEM from a 2006 999, any use?

  4. The ohlins is on the bike , showa (?) Is off the bike, happy enough to swap them round if you'd like the ohlins, needs a good clean though

  5. Ivor, hi.

It's all going to come down to what you want for it I'm afraid.
I'm sort of assuming an Ohlins is out of my price range at this point, but let me know what you need.

  6. I can send a picture of the showa tomorrow, and the ohlins when I get back home central Wednesday (mid house move). Ohlins has been on my track bike (999) so won't want much for it, it was second hand when I got it I think. You might be better off with the showa that I took off to fit the ohlins? Message me and I'll WhatsApp you a picture in the morning?
