  1. Hi,
I am going to buy a 42 tooth rear sprocket for my 1260 multistrada and have a question. Would it be “better” to buy a esjot or afam steel one or a Supersprox tri metal - I am looking for reliability/longevity. Any insights would be appreciated. Cheers

  2. Renthal and JT sprockets are also work a look.

  3. renthal

    and you get a sticker

  4. Are they alloy?

  5. Steel will last longer than an aluminium alloy. Alloy ones are for weight saving :joy: - he laughs as it will make bugger all difference on a MultiStrada.

  6. I don’t want alloy, must admit I have used renthal for decades but only off road. I was unsure of the construction of the Supersprox tri metal, looks like a steel ring is riveted onto an alloy carrier hence my comment re reliability. I went 14 tooth on the front standard on the rear to try a gearing change and liked it hence looking at a 42 tooth rear.
