Rear Window Sticker

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Wayne58, Jul 2, 2017.

  1. Evening all, I don't think this will be an issue but does not hurt to ask. My nipper bought me a clear MS 58 sticker that's reverse printed to go inside a car back window. Does anyone have dealer stickers etc over a heated rear window element ? Do you think it will melt or damage the element etc?? I don't wanna upset my boy and not put it in. It's quite discreet at about 150mm X 40mm but it won't fit anywhere without covering 150mm of element wire. What ya reckon?

  2. My old Modus has such a sticker from new 'Elf Renault' white lettering on clear and deeper in size than yours. Just checked and it still looks like the day it was fitted 12 years ago and in parts it is over an element. No bubbles or distorting at all.

  3. Thanks lotus, that'll do for me

  4. PS, @Exige , is your element the stand proud of glass type, or in between the Laminates ?

  5. It's a cheap Renault so on top of the glass...

  7. Would it look better on a side window :)

  8. Possibly @Ducbird , but just though I'd ask the question before slapping it on.

  10. To be honest I'm not into stickers on cars but if it was one of my kids I would have to do side window as not to offend :)

  11. Done, and my boys happy, feel I've showed my tribute to Marco more than a sticker already though, since I have a (rather drunken night) red 58 tattooed on my shoulder done in 2012 :grinning:
