Rebound Damping

  1. When setting up a sport bike, is slow or fast rebound considered "the aim"? Is it better to have more faster or slower rebound for road or track. Is it just down to "what feels best for you"? Thoughts

  2. Think its more that the rate of collapse and rebound is the same rate, rather than fast or slow back

  3. Youtube Dave Moss, and look at soe of his older how to guides

  4. When I got my 2010 Hyper on the way to work along the lanes 15 miles it was bucking and generally throwing me all over the shop.
I softened the front off 4 clicks and speeded the rebound up 3 clicks and the rear just 2 clicks softer and 3 on rebound faster ..... totally different bike now also running 34 psi front and 35 psi rear ...

  5. Your rebound is there to control the rate at which the spring returns to its previous length. You want to set it so it help control the spring rather than slow the spring. With to much rebound damping the tyre will lose contact with the road momentarily.
