Home made open clutch cover. The guy is a genius and I can picture him now going from his description of himself......... "People ask me, won't things get caught in the open clutch? I wear floppy pants and boots with long laces that droop"

Yes, it's an open clutch cover and should be rotated 90 degrees clockwise. Looks like an oscilloscope trace with rc111 added.
Maybe someone who worked for Plessey made it in their workshops...
