1200 Recomend Me Some New Rear Brake Pads

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Mobile Chicane, Oct 12, 2015.

  1. Hi all what are the best rear pads to go for on a standard break set up on a 2010 1200s multi ?

My current ones squeal like a stuck pig and have about 2.5mm left on them.

  2. I too am looking for recommendations for the best rear brake pad for pure stopping ability. Pad life is not a concern. If they wear quicker I'll just replace them quicker. My 2015 MTS S DVT w/ABS rear brake has firm pedal but extremely poor stopping ability.
Any recommendations? Sintered, organic, ceramic etc? Currently running HH sintered.
    Dealer recommends organic. Any suggestions?

  3. Sintered is my preferred choice.

  4. I chucked my original standard ones out just over a thousand miles ago and fitted Brembo SC ones, I now have a working rear brake I can trust when I need it.

  5. Bendix MF front and rear

  6. I'm sorry "SC" ones? What is that please?

  7. No idea, recommended to me by the guys at Moto Rapido, but I have a rear brake now.

  8. Are those street/racing front pads?

  9. Apologies, just checked my purchase and they were SA NOT SC, road pads and Brembo’s replace, went for the OEM version.
