Refurb Ss Rear Shock

Discussion in 'Builds & Projects' started by ck_uk, Aug 15, 2019.

  1. Not sure what to do with my rear shock, condition is OK but since I'm refurbing the whole bike perhaps I should pay attention to this. Powdercoat is breaking in places, and the two top collars don't look great. Also, there is some play in the top bushing (assume this is not normal).

I've no experience with these, so is it best to send away for a refresh? If so, any recommendations and rough costs?

  2. I had mine fully serviced (different shock) with new spring and new body for about £240. Done at Kais.
If your doing a full restoration on your bike, it’d be a shame not to get it serviced while you’re in there.

    Before.
