  1. Howdo!!

Thinking out load (Very dangerous).........is it possible to convert a bike with remote coils to one with stick coils?

Why??? Just wondering as most better quality QS are compatible with stick coils.

    Stopped thinking out loud.

  2. Google it as I have just done because I didn't have a clue what you were asking and there is quite a bit of information. Mostly from Kawasaki owners it did seem. Andy

  3. doable. in my experiance less reliable.

  4. practical sportsbikes did a "how to" on this and they seem to like to do it to a few of their bikes...

  5. When i was looking to alter my mercedes Cosworth from K-jet to modern Ecu controlled Fuel injection a couple of years ago the hot poop advice was to go for Honda ( sorry) cbr600 "coil on plug" units. Apparently regarded as the best available and reasonably priced second hand.
Don't know if that helps you much .

  6. Coil on plug conversions aren't a problem Pab, but you'd need to find a solution that's short enough for your HT clearance tube.

You don't want the coil to stick out too far as otherwise it'll suffer. You can use your ignitech to tune it in properly. Most of the honda items have a variable resistance range as well, but you probably won't be able to drive that in any appreciable way.
