Ive managed to source a set of PP carbon belt covers to replace the plastic ones on my multi. The small top cover looks tricky to get at although to be fair they only arrived today and I haven't had a proper look yet. I've tried a search on the forum but can't see any previous posts on this? How easy is it to replace them....the lower 2 seem easy enough.
The horizontal cover is easy to get on/off but the 2 parts of the vertical cover are difficult to access. One of the screws is hidden from sight but you can get access through the small triangular hole in the alloy frame plate. To get the covers out I found it necessary to move the airbox which is a task in itself. The covers are very tight fit in the space between the engine and the frame plate I'd think it would be very difficult to get carbon ones in without scratching them. It would probably be best to cover them with pvc tape then peel it off once they are fitted.
Thanks Derek that's a great help! It's in for a service next week so I think I'll get them to fit it..... I'm bound to bugger it up!!
