hi all,new to forum and new to ducati 749 ,picked bike up last week and ran sweet for 90 miles on way home ,went out next day and fuel lite came on which i expected but cudnt rev over 5 thous ,filled up with fuel and seemed ok then went out again and seemed to be getting short on revs again almost like hitting limiter ,do you think iv got dirt in from tank or is this a coincidence,booked in for interval service next week just to check it out.very worried.
Yeah could well be a blocked injector or low fuel supply, for example a restricted fuel filter or failing pump. Worth getting a good service done and going from there, does it missfire or simply not rev any harder?
ye ,does missfire on start up sometimes,its in for a service wednesday but hoping nothing serious ,because its intermittent maybe it cud be partially blocked !
It could be a cool going or something (maybe breaking up under load), just make sure u ask them specifically to check it out!
ye i will ask them about it specfically,again today it went and coincidently just as the fuel light came on but ok after fuelled up again,also the digital display has stoppped working with the rev counter stuck on 13 ,is this the fun of ducati ownership ?
popped into Ducati shop to let them have a quick look and he thinks new tank needed and maybe pump as well ,down to corrosion,thankfully garage has had bike back to sort problem!
