  2. If you own and 848 and don't have one, get it!

  3. Are you giving up biking Stannie?

  4. Not this year El T (but perhaps next year) - I never used it because I had the bike lowered by Kais. I just thought I would declutter and get a few bob before we move house.

  5. I did wonder with the leathers going up for sale too.

  6. How did they lower it without an adjustable ride height bar? Just turn the eccentric round? Fwiw and its not a lot of money, if you are keeping the bike I'd be tempted to put it on there at the same height at the tie rode you have now. At least if you adjust the chain you can keep same height.

  7. shorter shock shorter spring..........drop the front forks through...........

  8. Jeez...how much would that cost v £50 bar and drop the forks a little

Funny enough I've ramped mine up today as I adj the chain but have no ride highet tool and count be bothered to measure it so we'll see how it hoes at cadwell

  9. Have sent the OP a PM.

For others on this thread who have one of these, how much of a job is it to fit? Do I need to have a means of holding the bike up off the suspension to fit this? I'm hoping it's a straight swap for the non-adjustable rod that's on as standard and I can just undo it and replace with this one.

  10.
  11. Buy, or borrow (I have one) an abba stand and its a doddle

  12. Shorter spring and adjustments to the fork. More expensive but the bike handles really well.
You have made me think I should keep it now but I can't fit it myself.

  13. Ar right, didnt know if you change the spring for a shorter one its reduces the eye to eye size. Every day a school day

  14. If you can suspend the rear its a 2 bolt job, then just do as decsribed by Andy

  15. My old man has an Abba. I'll just ask him to hold the tail up while I fit it! Will be fine I'm sure, we'll manage between the two of us.

I assume this is basically a copy of the Ducati one? I couldn't find this make online but it looks almost identical. Was just wanting to check that it adjusts the height upwards too and isn't just for lowering it, as I want to adjust both ways but I'm pretty sure it's what I'm after.

    Have sent another PM anyway.

  16. Can do it easy on your owm with an Abba

  17. i'm assuming that this may well have been snapped up but if not then let me know.

For anyone that has one already is it worthwhile? I've booked some time with Colin at 100pc suspension at a trackday in Aug but wondered if it's worth putting one on in advance to help find a good set up?

  18. Yes it has been snapped up. But I will let you know if it falls through.

  19. Yep agree, got one and never used it but now have it on and raised rear a bit (after removing shock preload) as she is sweet.

Note of caution- The ebay copies often have pants rod ends, mine lasted about 1200 miles and then had serious play (no winter use). I now have heavy duty race spec versions which are great. The Ducati ends are expensive (like £80)
