Ride To Chi (chichester, West Sussex)

Discussion in 'Rideouts & Events' started by PhilB, Jul 17, 2014.

  1. Who's going to this at the end of the month? Bikerbabe can you please list the details for me/us!
Think I'm gonna ride down from Boxhill, should be a nice day out!

  2. I think I am up for this. Isn't is supposed to be old school dress or something? I'll pop the long johns on under the leathers and hope that suffices.

    Would meet at Box.

  3. Sounds like you could be cooking in those! I am hoping Bikerbabe will send some info! to update I will google it though just in case!

  4. Bikerbabe is at WDW so I would imagine her return will initiate a flurry of activity and no doubt lots of photos of roads she found on google and allegedly rode...

  5. I have the date for Ride2Chi being 27th July, and more details on www.ride2chi.com - if that's of any help?

  6. I'll be there, although it's not much of a ride out as I only live 10 minutes away. A few of us will meet at Goodwood Aero Club from 09:30 for a cracking full English breakfast overlooking the grass airfield. We will then head to the Festival theatre car park about 11:00 to make sure we're within the first 250 riders so we can park in the town centre (normally a pedestrian precinct).

Last year they cordoned off part of the F T car park for the bikers who were given a numbered sticker. Then at about 12:00 the police escorted us into the town centre.

You must return to your bikes at 14:00. The police close the roads out of chi and lead us to the A27.

A good opportunity to show off your pride and joy.

    See you there

    Kevin

  7. Ex-cuse me!!!!!!
I have some excellent proof of my activities!
4,250 kilometres later .... including both ways across one of the highest passes in the alps - Col du Galibier, plus numerous mountain passes in Tuscany/Emilia Romagna.......
I have a witness.... met up with Matt McCB!

  8. Ride2Chi details

There will be local radio on the precinct and Chandlers are bringing a band.

The event is in aid of Kent Surrey Sussex Air Ambulance.
BikeSafe & SERV are attending - and will escort bikers past pedestrians on the precinct to park up.

  9. I don't think there were as many bikes as last year but it was still a good turnout. I talked to a few Ducati owners but nobody from this forum, I don't think. My partner and I were on the red Multi with top box and panniers and riding in T shirts ( we live a mile away).

  10. We went and and had a good time. Thanks Bikerbabe for the invite, Tom and I had a good day.
I think I spoke to you Kevpix ;) if I didn`t you must have been the only Ducati owner I didn`t say hello to!!!!

  11. There were 143 bikes this year. More than last year. Footfall in town centre was up on last Sunday - so a success for Chichester. Bikesafe & SERV were pleased with public response.
I hope those who did make it yesterday enjoyed the event.
Thanks to all those who managed to make it - despite the showers!
