So full disclosure I incorrectly hooked up a battery incorrectly, the negative was on the opposite side of where the old battery was and was not paying attention. That said I have the correct batter now, replaced all blown fused including the main 40 and the little 7.5 amp fuse takes a crap when I hit the starter button.I've traced everything back that I can reach (Full faring) but cannot find anything fried...Fuel solenoid works, along with all electrical like lights and signals I feel pretty stupid for hooking up the battery wrong, and I feel something else is toast that I just can't see or reach. Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

Just a note. I had a fuse that would blow on my 1198 again and again. Sometimes it would be fine for ages. A stone was trapped in one of my rad fans. Sometimes it would jam the fan and blow the fuse. Twas annoying till I found the offending stone. Little bugger would hide whenever I looked.
Update; I was able to find a ECU from the local Ducati dealer and it was a used unit, as the new units are discontinued. Hooked up the replacement and part was bad as the fuel solenoid would not cycle. hooked up the original unit and fuel solenoid cycled. The right switch fuse still popped though. Question; is there a relay or solenoid between the switch and starter that may be affected? i pulled the switch apart and tested with an Ohm meter and it seems to be ok.
I don't know the bike at all, but it's usual for there to be a relay between the switch and the starter solenoid, followed by the starter itself If you know where I can get a wiring diagram to look at I'll take a look
When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? A pump trying to suck fuel through a blocked filter will draw a lot of current and could blow a fuse.
