Hi, Seeking feedback plse on a question - Progressing with my 2005 999S return to new rebuild and I have splashed out on one of those Rizoma clear belt covers - In my opinion - fabulous watching those belts and pulleys ...anyway so I have installed it and to my surprise there is now a gaping hole exposing the double pulleys at the base of the vertical cylinder - Now looking at the covers it is obvious as the original cover flares out at the base to locate with the smaller L shaped cover between the two covers whereas the Rizoma is simply parallel and flat hence this gaping slot - Now before I call the supplier as I cant say im too comfortable with this as of course its now open for all sorts of crap stones etc jumping in there but I really want to keep this cover and Im expecting a 'well thats the way it is -take it or leave it response' tomorrow I wondered if anyone has been here before and figured a way around - Thanks
Looks like no replies. i bought a second hand bike with one fitted.....at first service the gap was pointed out to me. I refitted the old cover ..... Cannot imagine the carnage of a bit of grit in there. did you ever get an answer? Or a solution? I thought about machining up a cover plate..not got around to it. But then am also hunting carbon belt covers as the rest of the bike has plenty of plastics replaced with carbon. Now window in a carbon cover....that would be unique
