Planned trip to northern half of Germany at end of May (if weather is ok if not will head south) and ferry into the Hook of Holland. Any advice on roads from the Hook towards Germany? Always nice not to hit traffic jams on the first day. Looked at the Afsluitjk causeway but have to get round Amsterdam first. Alternative is to head towards Maastricht and then into Germany. Grateful for any hints and advice.
Yup, just get the boring motrway bit done. As nice a place as the Netherlands is to visit, its not blessed with much in the way of biking roads. You can go scenic and hop between dykes and mini ferrys, but it'll take you forever.
