Are those really difficult to get then? I placed a bet with my mate at work that I will find one ( as I thought I knew people in right places) but looks like I am loosing.... or am I looking in wrong places?
Have you tried the 2nd hand dealers in Mayfair? They usually come up trumps. http://secondtimeround.com/rolex-daytona.html
I have had a couple, each of them in s/s, one black dial, one white dial. I was a very good customer of Mappin & Webb in Guernsey and each time one came in the chief salesman there called me up and offered me first refusal. I’m ashamed to say that on each occassion I drove straight to the other end of the island and sold them directly to the independent specialist there at a fairly inflated price. Needless to say the phone stopped ringing soon after that! If you can get yourself on a waiting list, a Rolex agent can only charge the RRP.
Going to check out the watch in the flesh to see if it floats my boat and try the fit. Had to have 2 links added to the bracelets on both my Omegas. Andy
You’re going to lose that bet .... Steel Daytona’s don’t sell at list unless you’re on a wait list or v lucky
Me too. One of my favourite watches, the Milgauss GV is. The green crystal isn't really visible in the pic, but looks good in the flesh.. Only really comes out at Christmas though, and I do wear it the right way up.
Just checked with a local contact and it looks like you lose your bet. He’s quoting a 6 to 10 year wait for new Andy
