Run In And Ready For Re Map

  1. Finally ran the 1100 in. Is it time to fit the mwr filter & book it in for a remap? Yes I hear you cry!! Go for pod filters!! But trying to get a pod kit these days for under £400 is non existent. Plus I have a brand new mwr filter that replaces top of air box so I’m going for that regardless.
had the heads gas flowed while engine was being rebuilt so hopefully would see an extra hp or two.
Bike feels so much stronger now run in than it did before the engine work. I’d probably be happy riding it as is for this summer.
So do I wait? Or do I just take the plunge. Whip the tank off, fit the filter, and take a steady ride to wherever I get the remap done?
It’s been a long process getting it run in due to the fact the engine had to come out before the end of last summer after only owning the bike for a couple of weeks. I’m enjoying riding it in anger at the moment. Although it would be nice to have a few more horses.
I’m thinking of taking it to the fella in Peterborough. Not sure of the name but heard he knows his Ducati’s?

  3. Oh yes I have many lol. So wanted to get the engine casings coated like yours mate but costs was going up & up. On top of the engine build I had new clutch & basket, cam belt tensioners, the head work etc. So I had to go with the shitty choice of cleaning the flakey old nail up the best I could.
