Hi all Bit of a weird question. I have a standard 2021 v4s and when I'm between 29 and 33mph in 3rd gear, if I'm maintaining a steady speed the exhaust stops producing any noise, engine is still running fine and if I change out of 3rd or change speed the exhaust then barks back into life, similar to cars ive owned with quiet start and eco mode when it reduces exhaust noise. I've done a quick search online but no joy, anyone shed any light? It's very abrupt from silent to loud in any riding mode. But as I say it's only in 3rd gear between 29 and 33mph anything over or under and its its normal loud self (which I enjoy) Cheers
Tell that to the old guy who started waving his walking stick at me in Richmond last week. I couldn’t hear a word he was shouting
I quite liked it when I had one as soon as the revs rose abit the engine sound would come back to life and it made people look. Gone back to the 1299 which is noisey all the time haha.
Yea was the same for me but it's great trying to time it right when you are going past pensioner pedestrians haha
Had a V4s for the day when my bike was being serviced a while back. Awesome bike for the day but personally I couldn't live with one. The noise emissions thing totally threw me the first time it happened, thought the engine had stopped but I still had forward motion... Something of a cheat device to get around the regs I reckon, because the noise it made, even on standard pipes, outside of that was fairly fruity.
