  1. [IMG] Hi Guys
Just been out to do a few checks on my bike and run it up and im totaly shocked what i found.
    RUSTY FRONT DISCS !!!!!!!!!
My bike was brand new in September and has done 600 miles I don't ride in Winter so it has never seen rain or water!
The bike is stored in my Man Cave that is dry, heated and insulated as it got electronic equipment in it i have sent a picture to my dealer asking for his opinion i am awaiting an answer
    Any one else got this?
    Regards Neil

  2. Brillo pad will clean that up

  3. Braking will leave deposits from the pad paste plus steel from the discs on the discs themselves. It's the dust you see blown from the calipers if you use an air gun. Some of it will stay on the discs and it will rust (when it comes in contact with humidity). It's perfectly normal. You can observe this clearly if you ride the bike and then leave it outside in the rain. The residue will rust in record time and it will cover the whole disc with red rust. It will go away with one prolonged braking when you ride the bike again. This is probably why you see it in the inside of the disc and not on it's surface. I wouldn't worry.

  4. Clearly you are not treating it right, remember the adage keep em mean keep em keen. "Stored in my Man Cave that is dry, heated and insulated" is pampering beyond reason. Mine has done 6000 plus miles and has been ridden in all conditions and has no rust, yet.
