hi guy's hoping you can help, my old mans looking for a new bike and never owned a duc before, he's 50 odd and doesn't trash around like I do but still push son and does the odd track day, he's looking at s2r and s4r, any advise on which one would suit more? Thanks in advance for your advise
Hi, I'm 56 and don't consider myself old in any way! I have an S4R and can confirm the 996 engine is strong, haven't tried an S2R so can't comment on them. Depends on how much power he is looking for, the S4R is appreciably more powerful than my old '97 900SS, not so much low down but at higher revs when the SS got breathless. I believe the S4R has higher spec suspension and brakes?
