Does any one know which garmin zumo sat navs fit to this mount please. It came with the bike I've just bought. It says zumo on the back but there's different models and I've always been a paper map man in the past so it's all a mystery to me. But hey ho I guess I have to join the twentieth century.
If you are going to be dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century, I probably wouldn’t do it with a 395. The latest Garmin Zumo XT is a much better unit and if you hunt around for a deal, I’ve seen the XT cheaper than the 395. Andy
If you buy anything other than 395/396 Garmin Zumo you'll need an adapter plate to replace the plastic mount shown. I bought the same mount but adapted it to fit my Zumo 590 and now my Zumo XT. At the time the main competitor for the Ducati mount was Navihalter (his mount had std AMPS holes), however the German owner of this business had been involved in a serious bike accident and none were available so I bought the mount you have. At the time a member on here, @Desmo Dave, made a suitable AMPS adapter plate. Not sure if he still does though. Apparently there is an official Ducati part, like Dave's, to convert the propriety 395/396 mount to the standard AMPS hole pattern used by all other Garmins and various other sat nav brands. Part number 97611851AA, see this post here on a similar thread. You should be able to order this from your dealer or online.
Just ordered a Garmin Zumo XT direct from Garmin yesterday (25/10/2021) for £285 - https://buy.garmin.com/en-GB/GB/p/679804 Delivered from within UK not EU so no surprise taxes.
Hi Gary - just checked it again and it takes me to the page showing £285. If you want, leave your email and I'll send it to you personally.
Thanks, but I'm not looking to buy. Just clicked out of curiosity. I see you're in Oz. Possibly a regional offer?
