  1. Apparently the weather is going to be nice Saturday - anyone up for a ride out??? Anywhere the wheels take us!! :upyeah:

    Saturday I have to go north for a christening, then back down to Sheffield to see John Bishop in the evening :upyeah:

  7. I'm a couple of miles from Knaresborough but I'm working up the dale over the weekend, otherwise I'd meet you.
    If you're in the area, Pateley Bridge is worth a visit and it's a nice ride from K'boro, about 16 miles.
    At the bottom of Pateley High St, just over the river by the petrol station, is Park View Bakery. Delicious bacon and egg butties or cherry flapjack. From Pateley, head up Greenhow Hill and over the tops to Grassington/Skipton. It'll be a bit chilly but at least all the roads around here are dry (at the moment)

    Alternatively, North Street Deli in Wetherby (just by the Total garage as you head out of town) do great breakfasts. From there I usually go up the A168 (which was the old A1 and runs close to the new bit of A1M) to Boroughbridge, Thirsk, Sutton Bank, Helmsley and then either across to Pickering and Scarborough or up to Stokeseley and Saltburn.
    Great roads. The B1257 Helmsley to Stokeseley is a corker.

  10. We've had some sleet/snow overnight so the roads are a bit greasy this morning around here. Not nice for motorbikes.


    I'm working on the moors up near Blubberhouses/Thruscross Reservoir........that'll be fun won't it? :rolleyes:

  11. The weather down here in Scunthorpe is a shocker. Snow last night, lashings of rain and showers today. I am most definetly scared, sorry, OUT!

  13. Had a trek down to j&s in Doncaster cup of tea and a sausage sarnie and a good look around the bikes and clothing! Was a good run a little chilly but roads good and the sun was out! Made the most of what will probably be the last run of this year if this snow is coming!
