here i go again, bought some dynamic indicators for the rear if the bike , so 4 bolts to undo to remove the tail. two came out, two were fast and got rounded( they are allen fit) so got a bolt removing kit which is like a bit you screw in anti clockwise and when it grips you keep screwing and it brings the bolt out . but when it gripped instead of this the extractor snapped off so i have half the extractor stuck in the bolt! question is can i drill this out .i dont want to damage the thread so that a new bolt wont take .
just to add the bike is a pikes peak and i bought it as a demonstrator, it sees nearly every bolt on this thing is fast solid. or i’m too ham fisted with it
I hate to say but the ezy-out you have used is likely hardened steel so will be an absolute nightmare to drill out - ask me how I know!
Or you have a set of Allen keys? Before you do any more damage, can I suggest getting your ham fists on a set of Wera Hex-Plus HF Allen keys or Hex Plus sockets. They drive on the flats rather than the corners so they don't round out the Allen bolts. https://www.amazon.co.uk/WERA-Multi...8541380603-B06XDCDHV8-&hvexpln=0&gad_source=1 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Zyklop-Hex-Plus-Socket-Holding-Function/dp/B0757YXLFY/ref=sr_1_3?crid=5G2KOHXKA46E&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.9S8PX4e4MgbHMz6i7JZtiirFwX9ZmLX5G92vlH9UtQtSyF_5EPnQ7BJ2WQglQnBi5xxY4jxNuqMIqigo9fTYYlg0CCf2t1tbWYD_oxVfXKLxoGTrGVqvx_M-4jce2hWYqqGdvnvfKL2okZXcl-eq2kVY8379hT0SopocP9iDu8nKsJvfbeNNjIyuAmgmShEisikJ8XY08U_UCpMYJjWoMXuaEOaY4BBjfraxHILwjfc.z2nQNwzJWtMx72xkYLxiD8fZE1T9Kz8hDIy9H3-sGvk&dib_tag=se&keywords=wera+hex+plus+sockets&qid=1774647168&s=diy&sprefix=wera+hex+plus+sockets,diy,279&sr=1-3&ufe=app_do:amzn1.fos.95fd378e-6299-4723-b1f1-3952ffba15af and if you haven't got one, I'd suggest a set of wall drive sockets as well (also known as flank drive). As per @RickyX don't ask me how I know... https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wera-Zyklo...6566067725-B01BNJ0DEY-&hvexpln=0&gad_source=1
