Whilst building my 848 project bike I bought a key set and screen that had been salvaged from a destroyed 1098. ALthough I was not supplied with a card the breaker did have and supply the immobiliser code, which was bloody handy because the first time the screen was powered up it asked for it! I'm toying with upgrading my other bike with the same screen, plus new loom and ecu. Now, there are several screens/key sets for sale on ebay without codes or cards. I'm told by the no doubt honest sellers, that the card/codes are not needed. True/false/way around using the code? All ok until the screen asks for it in 3 years time after a dead battery? ChrisW...?
Anything to do with dashes I always recommend Scorpio Electronics Scorpio Electronics - Home The immo on these later bikes is between the key and the dash only. So to work you need a coded key to come with the dash. If not, then contact Scorpio.
dont know if its the same company but i had a scorpio alarm on my early fireblade..it was an utter nightmare and had to be removed... just sayin'
Cheers. I confident that the key will match the dash...Just rather nervous if no code, then the day comes when you need it! Like the day you took the battery off yr car and then and only then, you realised you didn't have the code for your 8 track...
