As above...contemplating taking the Hyper to the TT this year so thought id service it and get it ready....servicing the slipper clutch and the spider has just dropped out in 2 pieces....ive got a spare here but want to get another one ready as itll go again....i can see one in Germania for sale but wondered if theres anywhere in the UK i can get one? Any clues Ducati gods out there??
as above, and a picture of broken spring is quickest way to identify. Early Bucci will always fracture eventually, later version a lot better but not strictly interchangeable. Early:- Later:-
and just to confuse things further, I think this is the "interim" 6 spring improvement I was thinking of, memory not what it was:-
the third picture I included is the best one to get as a replacement for the 6-spring early type, you can see it's fingers are slightly wider, and even the gauge is increased very slightly. I've also seen the easily-distinguishable, wider-finger type, modified to fit the earlier, 6-spring type of slipper.
It will be better than nothing, but last ones I saw from O.E.M. were the weedy version, I hope the next person who buys one, dealer or otherwise, will post a pic up.
