Hi i know these questions have been asked many times but would like to make sure. i would like a bit more noise from the sf, not that bothered about power increase. if i buy the termignoni carbon slip ons will the bike run without ecu upgrade . do i have to both at the same time if i was fortunate to find a second hand exhaust and ecu, does the ecu retain the milage [making a sh one useless] if i buy an arrow system or mivv that are homolagated will they need ecu upgrade . Thanks in advance ratterz
I wouldn't run Termis without the matching ECU myself. The odometer reading is stored in the clocks, nothing to do with the ECU.
Don't run Termis without the ECU which will come with the cans if you're buying new. I don't think the replacement ECU affects the mileage record. You can plug and go with a new Termi ECU without losing your own mileage reading so I wouldn't think a S'H one would import someone else's. Have you thought about an Austin Racing system? quality and cheaper than Termis. Doesn't come with an ECU though. You need a remap. Still cheaper than Termis though even with the remap. My bike has the termi end cans and is running the stock ecu. It was like that wheb I bought it as I didn't know anything about the ecu maps. It runs ok but you can tell it's running lean. First job this year is a remap. Cost is between 150 and 200 including a throttle position sensor reset.
Hi Guys, I am on the same boat ....was looking at AR Racing ones but correct me if I am wrong, the price advertised is WITHOUT the VAT so at £949 + 20% + £12 shipping....Termis (Can+ECU+airfilter) are working out cheaper now.....just saying
so if i buy the termi carbon end cans [it seems cheaper to buy seperatley ] buy the ecu for the termi slip ons seperatley is it just swap the cans over plug in new ecu , job done what about exhaust valve, oxygen sensor ,ex Thanks again
My 1198s was like this when i got it, caused me a ton of problems and almost cooked the bike. Send your ecu to @chrisw for the remap, you will be pleasantly surprised at the cost
