Does anyone have any experience with this helmet, looks decent and i like the idea of a flip and the fact this can be used with the chin bar tucked away on the days we get decent weather in Scotland ( twice a year usually!) https://www.helmetcity.co.uk/shark-evo-es-endless-mat-okk/
I have a Shark Evo one 2 and it is heavy and very noisey, the evo one 2 was meant to be an improvement on this lid because the pinlock got scratched when opening and closing but it does still do it, i will be honest and say i fucking hate it but when hot it is a bit of a godsend being able to fully open and is legal open. I only used to use it when riding my Indian but have sold that so will not be using it much now.
Been using the old and newer version for years and love it.Esp when it’s hot or when fiddling with stuff when your parked up and don’t want take the lid off.
I have the Evo ES, for the price I think it's okay, never had a flip / modular helmet before. Good flip system, no pinlock etc. I also found it to be very noisy but not too heavy. Now using Shoei Neotec 2. Better quality, less noisy, little bit heavier, more expensive etc. It can be used in the open position, even at speed .
Yes mate, I bought one in the Spring. I specifically went for the flip over type as I wanted both open face and full lid. The flip up and over has been an absolute God send in the hot weather and is fine at anything below 60mph +/-, saying that though my KTM 990 ADV has a touring screen. I paid the same, I might even have used helmet city. The noise isn't too bad, just wear plugs, its not much louder than my old Schuberth that cost twice as much. When I first used it, it was seriously drafty due to the nature of the flip mechanism but then a few weeks ago I discovered a recessed air dam in the chin guard that pulls down to fill the gap betwixt chin and helmet. Just goes to show you should read the Fu**king manual! All in all I am quite happy with it.
