I watched the Trevor MacDonald Mafia programme last night. I timed it. It was 10 or 11 minutes of programme, followed by 4 minutes or so of ads. Drove me up the wall, even though I was able to fast-forward all the ads. In the old days (how old? I'm sure someone will tell me), it used to be 20 mins of programme, and perhaps 2 or 3 mins of ads. Apart from that, the programme was fairly forgettable. He met some unpleasant people who had all grassed up the Mob but who now, despite the multiple murders they had committed, seemed regular Joes. And that was pretty much all we learned. I may tune in next week, but there is no chance I will be trying to look at it live. That would require me to look at about 20 minutes of advertising and there are many other things I'd rather do.
