  2. BMW HAS issued a recall - or 'technical campaign' as bike makers prefer to call them

  4. To be fair Paul they are complaining about the neutral light coming on (from a glimmer to full on) with the low fuel or high beam indication.

  8. As a precaution apparently.... ...right at the start of Spring... BMW 'invites' 300,000 potential customers, sorry I mean 'owners', to visit their local dealership to have the wheel flange on their deposit changed......

    (I've seen the pics of the cracked lugs.... not good!!)

  9. Check out the Ohlins fork failure...that's at the front of the bike!
    When that fails the front wheel will only be held on one side. Slights load (bump or braking) it rotates 90°...and over you go.

    I wonder how many Ducati are on the still on the road from that era....

  14. Yes definitely a design error, but someone is annoyed, perhaps the Black Rat was a BMW designer prior to being a Black Rat - a shit one at that :)

  15. 300,000? Pah! Toyota recalled 9 million cars a few years ago, at an estimated cost of £3 billion!
