My Shoei Neotec 2 has recently started whistling and it’s beginning to do my head in. It tends to happen when the visor is shut, but not fully “clicked” shut, if you know what I mean. Also, turning my head to the right can bring it on or make it worse. The helmet is about 6 months old, so a wee bit disappointing imho. Has anyone else had this problem and more to the point, can anyone advise me as to a fix?
I’m fairly sure that something similar to this has been posted before, I seem to recall all that was required was a silicone spray being applied to the seals.
Rub a bit of silicone oil round the visor seals. Shoei supply a tiny bottle of the stuff with the helmet.
If you don’t fully ‘click’ shut the visor, it will whistle. If you want better air flow, you need to open it by one detent. Andy
