Our group have got a nice little 7 day trip to France / Spain booked for next year and I'm already looking for new kit......any excuse. I'm looking to ditch my Sidi race boots and buy some shorter boots for the warmer climate that are 100% waterproof (just in case), but I don't want to look like a farmer! Any ideas?
Dainese make some sort of high-top lace up boots with some carbon protection bits. Think they are aimed at scooter riders, but they are quite nice and comfortable for walking. It's what I wear for very short trips sometimes. Very much doubt they are fully waterproof, but you could apply products to them to increase that. Have a look at their site.
[h=1]My Daytona Journey XCR gore tex boots have done me proud[/h]onto my 2nd pair now, warm, water proof, breathable and comfortble enough to walk around town and signtsee in.
I wear Alpinestars SMX-2 goretex. Had a trip over to Italy with 30 deg heat n the feet were nice n cool
