It was a (failed) attempt at humour, not trying to pick fault. It had not occurred to me that someone might have been killed.
We all know that our turn has been coming but still a shock that it's happened! One thing we have to be grateful for is that it's still relatively difficult to get your hands on fully automatic weapons in the uk
The attacker apparently ran up to 10 people down with a motor vehicle before running into Westminster welding a large knife before he was shot by a security guard.
It won't be for long. There's masses of them in Europe and we have no coastal defences. Away from ports and commercial quays our coastline is almost entirely unpoliced. Vessels make illegal landings on our shores constantly. It would be absurdly easy to bring black-market military weapons into the UK for those who care little about the consequences of being caught, and there are no shortage of those types wandering around Europe and more being waved in every day. Its only a matter of time.
... relatively difficult if you are a law-abiding citizen. We can be confident that in the UK such weapons are only in the hands of criminals and the authorities!
Pro Trump media will say I told you so, the eu will say it was just a mentally disturbed loner and nothing to see here or be recorded on our crime figures and the BBC will report it as Asian man shot by police.
Can't understand why the first line of defence at Westminster was an unarmed policeman, unfortunately lost his life in the line of duty
Very sad for all those caught up in it and terrible that 3 innocent people including the policeman lost their lives. Thank goodness it was a pretty unsuccessful terrorist act compared to what Europe, and particularly France has and is, going through. I am glad that the terrorist won't be spending 20 years in jail radicalizing others.
