Have been grunting and groaning working on the floor with the bikes for too long and the old bones have cried enough. Picked this up today and only had the bike up for an hour and oh what joy, no more involuntary groaning when trying to get off the floor . LUXURY!
Billy, an ozzy company, more than likely made in china, foot and air operated ram. Great bit of kit as far as I can tell http://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eB...tegory=179511&pm=1&ds=0&t=1591072225000&ver=0 Will be something very similar I'm sure on your side of the world.
Sealy sell one here... pick one up for about £300-400 from the bike show years ago. PITA if you have to keep moving it out of the way.... weighs a fair bit. You need a good strong smooth floor to get the best out of it and feel safe.
Sorry mate, didn’t clock the flag on your avatar looks a very nice piece of kit. Many thanks for the info.
DON'T buy the Sealy unit; its shite. I bought one in the spring, first time I used it the rear ramp retaining lugs bent (200kg bike on a 400kg rated unit), the 2nd time I used it I lowered it to the ground, turned round to shout the Wife for an assist to roll it off and the heavy rubber lining in the front wheel clamp failed resulting in MY BABY, the KTM 990 ADV crashing to the floor. Livid I was. Still am. £400 down the swanny, yet to get a refund as Sealy wanted it back for examination. The insult was further compounded by their courier refusing to take it twice, in fact bringing it back the day after the second time by the same driver in the same wagon, because it has exposed metal parts on the pallet; ARSEHOLES! I hate to think what would have happened if I had been standing next to it at the time, or even worse one of my kids. initially there was no apparent damage, apart from a few new scratches on the hand guards. Luckily they are tough machines these KTM's. However, I have noticed recently that the gear change has become very stiff and is now becoming really hard to operate so I suspect that it may have been bent in the fall, or worse knocked something out of alignment in the selector mechanism; I can't see Sealy stumping up for any damage that has only now come to light several months after the event. And did I mention that I still haven't got a FEKIN' REFUND!? It will be a cold day in hell afore I buy another Sealy product.
What you want is an Autec bike lift, quality Dutch product, https://www.autec-vlt.com/product/asm0703h/ Probike also do some good quality bike lifts, https://probike.co.uk/motorcycle-lifts
Like the ramp but... Specsavers are open on Sundays now you know.. Might be stating the obvious but you seem to have fitted our beloved Ducati’s engine the wrong way round... Only out by 90 degrees mind... X
That option is still in the quiver. I shall give them the benefit of the doubt and a couple more weeks in the current circumstances; I am not an unreasonable man.
Hah! Well bend me over and pump me through my oilskins!!! Didn't the phone go today and it was the supplier telling me that Sealy had approved a full refund because the unit was faulty £400 of your Earth spendoolicks; now....what to spend it on? The good Lord moves in mysterious way as I had pretty much written the cash off, but there you go, perhaps I will rethink my attitude to the company. Now, if I could only get my other £400 back from those tight-wads at P&O.....
