Side/kick Stand For My 996..

  1. Some say that a stand from a 1098 is a good Mod to do on a 996?

    Apparently its tad longer than OE.. and the Duc 'stand up' better, than a short one...

    So if anyone has one, either from a 1098 or 748/9*6, and its going begging, please advise...

  2. I have put a 1098 one on my 748 and it's much better.
    you'd be welcome to my old 748 one for postage if it's any good to ya

  3. I've changed to the 1098 stand on both my bikes ( 748s 998 ) and it's a better job than the oem one

  4. Ahhh thanks @chizel That would be really good. I'll pm my address to you.

    I only have a paddock stand, and as I have short legs, and a dodgy hip, its really difficult getting me leg over without falling over ! Cheers again sir....

  5. My 916 prefers its chilled relaxed stance on the sidestand. :p

  6. OK, thanks to @chizel (nice chap) I now have a 748 side stand, BUT still need the bracket, spring and bolts if anyone has one going begging,,, pretty please lol..... or even a 1098 stand...cheers chaps....
