1200 DVT Side Mirror Tightness

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Riko, May 24, 2017.

  1. Dudes,

havent had the chance to inspect this, since the bike is at the garage.

But is it a matter of a simple screw that can make the mirror tight again?

My mate dropped my bike (not completely) :surprise: and managed to brake the left handguard and make a scratch on the left mirror.

The handguard itself is easy to replace but its seems the mirror is a bit lose...I hope a simple adjustment can be done by turning some screw somewhere? but didnt see many adjustment options tbh.

    thx

  2. Screw 1 & screw 6 (RH & LH Thread) aren't all mirrors fixed this way...

  3. yeah, but at the mirror side there has to be a tight adjustment

When i just got the bike it was very lose at one side and they 'fixed' that...so ther has to be another screw(s)?

im wondering bout 41 and 42 but the rear of the mirror looks smooth...

  4. 41/42 Looks like a cap?

  6. hm think so, will try and see of and how I can pull em off

  7. That is a cap that pulls off and there is a nut inside to tighten the mechanism on the mirror.

  8. Are you talking about the glass or the stem? Stem as above (remember rhs is opposite thread!!) not sure about how to tighten the glass

  9. there is a plastic plate at the underside of the mirror that you can remove...
it reveals a screw for the ball joint
