Questions regarding the side panel on the Multistrada 1200 (2015-2017). Do side panels from 1260 fit on a 1200 without modifications?
Pretty sure they are the same, but safest way is to check part numbers. I usually go to https://www.bike-parts-ducati.com/ducati-motorcycle/Multistrada and compare numbers between models and years. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the useful tip regarding the website John W. Looks like the part number is different, but it might fit anyway? It is required to change the "holder" on the inside as well. I think that the "package" with holder and radiator cover fits on the sides, and that the sides of the 1200 and 1260 are possibly the same?
To be honest I don't know as I didnt have both, I only had 1200 and 1260 Enduros. On them the side panels were identical except for decals. I thought all of the 1200/1260 DVT plastics were the same too. Sorry I can't help more.
If we're talking about the side panels under the seat then I think that they are the same. The fairing side panels though are a different shape externally, as is the black plastic panel beneath and the tank cover. Not saying that the fairing side panels won't fit though, just likely that they're not a direct swap...
