Not sure what to say, actually yes I do, Silverstone you are shit. So much development going on has pushed the merch to the old pits area and is tiny. It's a fraction of what it used to be, £7.70 for a pint, £17 for 2 coffees and 2 Danish pastries, FFS. Bring on 2027 and Donny. Andy
I paid £115 for discounted early bird weekend tickets at the end of last year but £100 on the day is rediculous. Andy
They don’t want people turning up on the day do they, easier to police if they know numbers in advance. Doesn’t make it any less shit of course.
I will be consulting my brief next week, have tickets for Club and the stands are closed. Rumour is, Silverstone have sold less than 50% of allocated stands which is being used to justify no merch stands, apart from 1 MM and their own stores. Just goes to show the absolute contempt in which the BDRC hold the motorcycle racing fan. I also understand Monster have withdrawn their sponsorship. I'm done with Silverstone from here on in. Andy
I only went last year because I got free tickets for the Sunday, but I had given up on Silverstone after the previous year. It's an absolute rip off with very little in the way of merch stands and the food stalls around the circuit seem to get less and less. As soon as they moved the event to May it was a sign that the British MotoGP is dying on its feet.
I was there this morning. But home now. Duty calls. Back Sunday. Agree with @Android853sp comments. Brilliant ride back @RC1
Why have they got MotoGP practice 2 at twenty five to five in the afternoon with over twenty minutes to go, when the race is like 2pm? Imagine if it had been raining
We grumble about it but there’s nothing like watching the best boys in the world at your *home track is there.
