Help needed I'm going to convert my BIP and put a single seat unit on but want to keep the subframe due to going to France/Italy on it every year and I have panniers that bolt onto the pillion foot rests The question is what type look's the best cosmetically that fits the BIP subframe Cheers John
I tried to do this John and basically the OE mono plastics simply won't fit the bip subframe. Although some owners have made them fit by hacking and cutting them about which is there choice I suppose but not for me. The bip subframe is shaped very different to the mono and is longer to so you'll alway have part of the subframe sticking out the back. If you want the mono effect then I've seen bikes fitted with a cover which is interchangeable with the rear seat. Design Corse sell them although there quite expensive they do fit perfectly. You'll find Design Corse on here somewhere.
