Single Sided Swing Arm Wheel Balancer Adapters.

  1. Anyone know where I can get a sensibly priced pair of adapters for balancing the rear on a 1st gen multi after fitting new tyres? They are available but seem to be either a set of differing sizes, or otherwise over priced for me, commercial kits. I’ll probably only use them once a year. My balancer is the standard upright 2 post type with central round bar sitting on bearings with adjustable side collars starting at around 13mm diameter. It’s saved me a fortune over the years, not to speak of the added convenience. Any one else still fitting their own tyres?

  2. You could also consider Dynabeads...then balancing sorted...they can/are be added with the tyre in place. :upyeah:

  3. Thanks for that, I had considered it but I’m a bit old school and would prefer to continue in the time honored way, I have all the stick on weights etc.

  4. I use the same type of balancer I bought from Abba years ago. They did their own adapter which I still use also. It’s a simple bar with two nylon cones that you secure to clamp the wheel. You can still buy them direct from Abba

  5. I have a MAX2H setup of tyre changer, balancer and necessary adapters for the Ducati rear wheel. All this kit works really well. He no longer sells direct it seems, but now does so through the BTR brand, also located in Germany. They sell the spindle and cones here. Price is well under the import duty VAT threshold. The kit I have is essentially this one.

  6. Exactly what I was looking for and now I have one on the way! Many thanks.

  7. Looks like quality equipment, but got fixed up at ABBA, thank-you anyway.
