  1. If anyone fancies a ride over. Need to do 200 miles so an 80 mile detour on the cards ;)

  2. When? I'll be at Snells on Friday 28 August pm.

  3. Need to be there for 1330 tomorrow, not sure which way to gonyet, may go via Brackley

  4. Too late, Brackley was last week.

  5. Unless weather forcast dictates route, going bath, shepton mallet, malmesbury, salisbury, wimchester, snells...or something like that

  6. What are you planning whilst you wait ? Andy

  7. Sitting and drinking coffee. But may have to just take my license, in case ;)

  8. Have you done/do you know bath, frome , past longleat and cut across the Plain on the 'b' road through via Shrewton etc

  9. Heres the plan...just using an app to work it out, no knowledge

  10. Interesting route, takes you quite close to Louigis as you exit Bath. Go have a cup of tea at Chew valley lake, for an interim stop.

The road from shepton to frome is iirc, not the most interesting. I'd be tempted to turn left half way between 2 and 3 and go through Buckland Dunham, as a way point, to Frome.

Between Warminster and 4 is a left turn just before the (knock?) army camp that is a good B road across towards Stonehenge via Shrewton.

Just observations, enjoy whichever way you go!

  13. Probably will. Do I really need to take a 1299 out when I havent the funds to buy one?!

  14. Isn't that a no brainer ? You gotta have a go just so you can post replies with experience and authority :Angelic:. Andy

  15. Dont want to break a habit. Its a wonder I keep a bike on two wheels, the limited amount I have done and know :Asshat:

  16. No worries, thoughts for next time maybe. There are a few reasonable cross country hacks, I've found over the years, making my way across to the A303.

  17. @bradders, did you get home safe and sound ? Know it was going to be a late one when I saw them wheeling your bike in after we'd finished a brew in the cafe. I enjoyed the catch up. Andy

  18. Nice to chat Andy. Left at 4, 165 miles home, fuel stop included 3 hrs ;)

  19. How many revs ? :upyeah:

  20. Favourite part of your route across?
