Well I'm just in the middle of planning a trip from Portsmouth to Snowdonia with my lovely girlfriend, we are going for 2 nights and 3 days, I would like a little advice on good places to ride and for some picture opportunities, I know some of you would of gone there and seen the sights I'm planning on staying in Betws y Coed unless someone recommends somewhere else to stay?? Any advice will be much appreciated, thank you in advance!!
Are you planning to travel up through South Wales, some cracking roads around Llandovery, Brecon and Rhaeadr way.
Yes was thinking straight up north from the Brecon roundabout I know the roads pretty well, infact I binned my panigale up there haha!!
Agree with Broke. Rhyader is nice - we stayed here though Real Ale Cool reservoir up the road llyne Brianne (roads are narrow)! -
you could look at bikers retreat they are near lake Bala on your way ..... If I'm honest the rooms are a bit tired now but both Tiv and Nigel are all round genuine good people your bike is secure you'll stay with like minded bikers.........and the breakfast is excellent!! Home
The Groes Inn | Dog Friendly Hotels in Wales, Conwy Hotels, Holiday Cottages North Wales Lovely food, great beer and super views from the bedrooms.
I'd buy this months RIDE mag (October). There's a feature on Britains best roads which covers all the best ones in Wales.
If I can offer one piece of advice...........take your waterproofs. It never stops raining in wales. Fact.
The Groes Inn is a good spot if you like your creature comforts (will be back there late Sept ) A good start or end of the day from there is to do the EVO Triangle: Greatest Driving Roads, The Evo Triangle Loads of great roads everywhere....
