Hi just in the process of ordering chain and sprockets for my 2013 multistrada I just need to know what size socket I need to undo front sprocket

Derek is most likely correct (he's rarely wrong ) but just to confirm, take the front sprocket cover off and measure across the flats. You're going to have to take it off anyway.
