Hello, I am trying to read the eprom on my 2001 996S, no need to adjust or test anything, just to be able to have a screen on the computer that shows what the Eprom is. I need to prove to Ducati that the Eprom is the rev limited French one...(it is as I installed it myself), but Ducati themselves have no software to read it! I have tried ducatidiag by JP from the French Ducati forums, that I did have listed as compatible, but it will not connect. Can anyone please suggest some software to allow me to read the EPROM? I already have the correct lonelec cable. Thanks for the advice.
I have an eprom read/writer that I used to take a backup of my 748 chip. You could buy a cheap one from eBay that will let you do the same but it means pulling the chip from the ECU again.
You need a 28 pin eeprom programmer. It should come bundled with software. Whether it will provide the data you require depends what info was flashed to the chip. Hopefully the map ref has been flashed in the hex data and should be visible on the software when the bin file is read by the software.
Search SP200S on AliExpress or ebay. For drivers and software https://rarecomponents.com/store/15...I9GtaFdecLxmHRfoh7TPmrHbvapdnTimFcLkj1AE-8uAp
If you cannot find anything then you could flash 39 39 36 20 72 E9 76 20 6C 69 6D 69 74 E9 65 20 66 72 61 6E 63 65 To the first 2 lines of the bin showing all FF That would read 996 rév limitée france
If you have a map ref and a date you want to add then drop a line and input the hex data Use the following to convert text to hex https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/number/ascii-to-hex.html
