999 Solenoid Assisted Start, Not Working?

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by TheJackal, Oct 1, 2020.

  1. I seem to recall having the same "but....the manual says...." issue when I owned a S4R back in 2015 when I read about the solenoid assisted starting procedure.

The manual says that all you need is one press and the solenoid will keep the starter motor ticking over until the engines fires up. On the 999 I picked up a while ago one press of the start button will get about 1s of crank, then it just goes quiet.

Would this be a solenoid issue or something else?

  2. I think that feature may be selectable.

  3. I would remove if I could on Uglies.

  4. Selectable, how so?
