Sore Plum’s, A Sensitive Subject

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Lumbux, Aug 20, 2020.

  1. As some of you may be aware of my situation, With my wife leaving me and the kids, I have been given a Honda PCX 125 to use. This is the second one I’ve had and used as a commuter, but I’m doing 250-300 miles a week now and as the title suggests I have developed a bit of pain in a sensitive area. Has anyone else had the same problem with doing lots of miles in the saddle?

  4. I’m rather hoping that’s not some sort of plum juice staining on the saddle.
Or are your plums made of lead?

  5. Always take good care of the crown jewels and if they need a trip to the quack, go sooner than later.

I rode almost 200 miles today, so far so good!

  6. Get a pair.

  7. Where’d you get to?

  8. Down through Shropshire across to Shropshire hills, then north up around Wrexham area back across country to Macc, Cat & Fiddle, wandering around the single lanes on the peaks, on to Rudyard, and back.

Little yellow bike didn't skip a beat!

  10. Sounds fab, some great roads over that way.

  11. Yeah it was a good day! Pretty windy already yesterday up on the higher exposed peaks and cooler too. I was glad of my old soft Weise leather jacket- loose fitting and cool in the sun, but easy to zip up quick in the wind.

  12. I’ll bet you cut a dash!

  14. Y' know its one of those with a round neck, no fold over collar & no lapels to press stud down. There's strange almost corugated sections to allow flex/ movement. The zips are big and chunky with boot laces tied on which makes it possible to open with gloves. The metal buckles are worn like antiques, and the leather has a patina that gentlemens clubs get on the chesterfield chairs. It must be a hundred years old -I bought it new when I was a teenager.

Its like an old girlfriend. It doesn't look much now, but does everything you want & feels every bit as good as it always has. I wouldn't part with it for the world.
